In this position, you will develop and manage an independent dealer distribution network to facilitate and maximize the share and sales of products for the Company. Candidates should reside in the Indiana area to best serve the assigned territory.

Role & Responsibility

Territory Management
  • Develop and maintain a dealer organization capable of delivering quality experiences at all its operation levels to customers. Work with dealerships to provide high customer satisfaction and cultivate strong customer relationships.
  • Develop a relationship with the dealer organization embodying mutual trust and respect. Influence the course of action of the dealers to the mutual benefit of the Company and the dealers. Manage day-to-day interest, plans and goals of the Company to meet or exceed the needs of the customer.
  • Protect and manage the financial resources of the Company and our dealers.
  • Develop annual district strategy and individual dealer strategy to maximize on the market potential in those areas.
  • Communicate the needs of the customers and dealers to the appropriate Company department responsible for follow-up action.
  • Attain market share goals through product sales. Market and sell all available products to drive branding. Develop and manage the sales to dealers annually. Drive appropriate inventory.
  • Respond to order and retail requests.

Dealer Communication and Accountability
  • Drive dealer performance by holding quarterly Sales/Action Plan meetings with core dealers.
  • Present market share data and competitive trends.
  • Review sales data and dealer action plans quarterly with dealer principal.
  • Display assertive implementation of Action Plan items.

Dealer Training
  • Conduct dealer training and promotion.
  • Conduct/facilitate district sales training schools (new products and competitive).
  • Ride with new sales specialists orientating them to the Company.


Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field. Equivalent construction, agricultural or automotive dealership experience will be considered.
  • Experience Required: 3 - 5+ years.
  • Commercial marketing experience, preferably with compact construction equipment.
  • Territory management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and listening skills.
  • Strong performer; highly driven.
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and priority focus, due to home office arrangement.
  • Valid driving license with clean driving record.
  • Travel Required: >75%.

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
