Houston Engineering Inc. (HEI), is a full-service civil engineering, surveying, environmental and technology solutions consulting firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. As a Human Resources Generalist at HEI you will work collaboratively with employees company wide and engage in multiple facets of HR including recruitment, onboarding, benefit administration, safety, etc.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Actively participate in the recruitment process for all eight HEI locations by maintaining current job postings on the HEI applicant tracking system and multiple job boards.
* Extract EEO data and other details from the Applicant Tracking System as needed.
* Maintain and enhance internal HR & safety web pages.
* Analyze and edit HR records for data integrity.
* Maintain data and assign courses in the LMS.
* Process years of service recognition.
* Assist with onboarding of new staff and termination tasks upon separation.
* Coordinate safety training and ensure timely certification completion and renewals.
* Produce and maintain forms related to HR processes.
* Provide general assistance to employees.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Associate's degree (A.A.) in Business, HR or equivalent required; BS degree preferred.
* Two years applicable HR experience preferred.
* Strong communication skills; both written and oral.
* Advanced user with Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to work with confidential information.
* Positive teamwork orientation; strong organizational skills, self-motivated, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
* Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
