The Account Executive is responsible for an identified geographic region and/or a specific market, selling products and services to existing and prospective customers, managing the sales pipeline and building strong customer retention and loyalty.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred, in sales, business, engineering, marketing or related program

Experience:

  • 3+ years of successful sales and business development experience
  • Prior experience working in a custom manufacturing or engineering environment required
  • Prior experience managing accounts with values ranging in size of $500,000 and above

Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop strong knowledge of business operations and procedures: aluminum extrusion, plastic injection molding, precision machining and other related manufacturing processes
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Credible, with excellent business acumen and high level analysis skills
  • Strong team focus with the ability to work effectively in a professional and team environment
  • Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members and lead and influence others
  • Ability to take part in continuous education and training
  • Ability to identify and promote solutions to support customer and business objectives
  • Project management skills
  • Self-directed, able to take initiative and exercise independent judgment
  • Mature judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to construct and lead presentations
  • Good understanding of sales pipeline process; prospecting, lead generation, quotations, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20-40% of the time (includes local travel)
