Gemini Energy Services, A Tetra Tech Company is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to joinour dynamic team. Qualified candidates will be responsible for theoperations and maintenance of wind turbine generators to includetroubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components. You must bewilling to work 40-60 hours per week. Qualified candidates must be able toconsistently climb wind turbine towers up to 300 feet in height, up to threetimes a day.This role includes sponsored training from Gemini EnergyServices, to get you the required skills and certifications to work at thiswind farm. This is a full-time, local position in Bismark, North Dakota.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: High school orequivalentWind School orElectrical or Mechanical Experience of 1 yearESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have current validdriver's license and clean DMV record with less than three moving violations inthe past three yearsMust pass a criminalbackground checkMust be able to pass adrug screen and physical examPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Capable of lifting atleast 40 lbs.Capable of bending,twisting, and lifting items over headCapable of climbing awind tower up to 300 ft in height up to three times dailyRESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure that safety isfirst in all work activities, including the right to stop work if a potentialhazard is identified, working with team member to be aware of site conditionsand the risks associated with workDemonstrated abilityto identify, use, inspect and care for company-provided tools, equipment,vehicles, and personal protective gearUnderstanding of directcurrent electricity, alternating current electricity and electronicsAbility to train otheremployees in operations, maintenance and repair proceduresAbility to read,analyze, and interpret technical procedures and manualsAbility to writereports, complete work orders, chart information and track progress on tasksAbility to completetime cards with detailed descriptions of work performed, expense reports for reimbursementof airline baggage fees, company vehicle car washes and other job-related incidentalseligible for repaymentAbility to effectivelypresent information and respond to questions from managers, clients and fellowemployeesOccasional Travelrequired (up to 25% of the time)Weekend and on-callshifts may be required, depending on site needs.Local positionavailablePREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS TO BE UPLOADED:NFPA 70e electricaltrainingOSHA 10 Hour SafetyCourse completionTower Rescue /Competent Climber Certification or similarFirst Aid / CPRGWO preferred but notrequiredGeminiEnergy Services, a Tetra Tech Company is the leading independent service provider of wind and solartechnicians in the United States.
