Hours of work vary based on the student's availability and the needs of the department. Job Description of Vacancies: Contract Administration/Construction (Owatonna, Rochester, Winona) Enjoy working outside? Assist in inspection of contractor's work and methods so that the construction work meets the requirements of the plans, specifications, and special provisions. Perform field testing of construction materials to ensure that tests are performed accurately, timely, thoroughly, and according to specification. Document and summarize all appropriate data necessary to pay contractors promptly and process final contract acceptance documents to ensure data integrity and compliance with government regulations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and application of advanced mathematics including algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Ability to evaluate and provide technical knowledge and/or recommend revisions or changes; ability to interact with customers (both internal and external) and stakeholders. Candidates must be currently enrolled or enrolling within three months as a full-time student (six semester/9 quarter credits) in a post-secondary or graduate program with a GPA of at least 2.0.
