Position Information
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position to start in August 2021. Outstanding candidates in all areas will be considered, with particular emphasis on, but not limited to, the following areas: Intelligent Control Systems, Power Electronics, Robotics, and AI/Big Data.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field received by the start date of the appointment.
2) Evidence of excellent research, including demonstrated publication record.
3) Evidence of effective teaching.
4) Effective oral and written communication skills.
5) Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with/teaching diverse groups, including women and underrepresented minorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Evidence of successful grant writing and funding.
2) Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience.
3) Relevant industry experience.

The ECE department, housed in the College of Engineering (CoE), currently has 14 faculty, and 475 undergraduate, 17 Master, and 42 Ph.D. students, and is ABET-accredited. The department offers separate undergraduate programs in both Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and research specialization areas in Asynchronous Logic, Verification, VLSI, Computer Architecture, Cyber-Physical/Embedded Systems, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering, Power/Energy and Power Electronics, Electric Materials/Nanotechnology, Communications/Signal Processing, and Electromagnetics/Optics. The CoE includes the following departments: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and Construction Management and Engineering.
