Product Design Engineer II (Heavy engineering company)Pay rate 60$/hour6 months but will be extendedFargo,NDPurpose:Designs, modifies and evaluates Mechanical Test and Manufacturing Fixtures to meet quality, delivery and cost goals.Plans, coordinates and performs requirements to capture, from concepting to designing 3D models and detailed drawings.Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.Decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors.Duties:??? Executes high level design solutions to more complex problems.??? Produces and/or evaluates possible design solutions with each fixture to improve cost, quality and performance based on the Test or Manufacturing Engineer requirements.??? Creates, analyzes, reads and understands technical requirements written by others to determine the best technical solution for projects of moderate scope.??? Compiles and furnishes necessary information to document the design solution required for the design and the building of fixtures with others.??? Develops and/or executes test or analysis plan for product verification and validation.Qualifications:Education:Minimum B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.Required Skills and Experience:??? Ability to technically comprehend mechanical packaging designs and requirements.??? Ability to technically comprehend testing, manufacturing and quality control.??? Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks.??? Able to make selections or adaptations of engineering alternatives.??? Ability to work with the support of others or technicians.??? Ability to interface with customers with guidance from supervisor.??? Good written and verbal communication skills (English).??? Experience in product design- 1 to 3 years??? Experience in mechanical design- 1 to 3 years??? Experience with computer aided design (Creo Skills)- 1 to 3 years???
