Maintenance Technician

This Maintenance Technician position requires candidates to:

Complete maintenance and repairs on equipment as assigned through the work order system or by fleet maintenance managers or supervisors.

Trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in break-down situations.

Address required maintenance needs in a timely manner, such as replacing headlights, fixing mirrors, wipers, and air filters.

Perform oil changes and top off fluids per the preventative maintenance schedule.

Keep track of inventory and monitor parts usage so that parts can be properly and timely restocked.

Review the condition of the equipment daily upon their return to the lot according to a schedule. Report back to managers and supervisors about findings and priorities.

Review the vehicle condition reports (VCR's) accessed through the fleet technology system, work with management to determine priorities for immediate fixes for the next day's routes and perform the repairs as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this Maintenance Technician position:

Must have diesel mechanic experience.

Excellent understanding and familiarity in diagnosing, trouble shooting, and repairing equipment.

Class B commercial driver's license preferred but not required.

Accurate, organized, and detail oriented.

Willing to work 2nd shift and flexible hours.

Able to work with others as well as independently.

Operate with a strong safety orientation.

Able to follow specific directions as given by managers and work according to the organization's needs and priorities.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Able to crawl underneath as well as on top of trucks.

Must be able to stand or walk for entirety of shift.

This position does have a pay rate of $22 an hour! We are currently hiring for a Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm with some flexibility to customize hours due to business need.
