Strom Engineering Minnesota has an exciting new opening for an Electrical Engineer with a great company located in the Twin Cities, MN area.
Duties:
* Designs electrical systems for new facilities, additions or renovation projects.
* Researches, designs and specifies electrical systems and directs and coordinates activities involved in design and specifications of electrical systems.
* Research and analyzes data to determine feasibility of designs and systems.
* Demonstrates proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office programs.
* Demonstrates ability to graphically represent designs from conceptual ideas to final construction documents.
* Demonstrates proficiency in electrical load calculations, lighting control systems and various technology systems including but not limited to: Information Technology backbone and distribution, Audio Visual, Mass Notification, Fire Alarm and Security/Access Control.
* Equipment selections for lighting, power distribution and building systems.
* Contact equipment manufacturers or representatives to discuss product options and solutions.
* Provide technical leadership for the creation of construction drawings and specifications.
* Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors and others to address electrical engineering issues.
* Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design or application.
* Work cooperatively in a positive, professional manner with in-house design staff as well as engineering, architects and clients.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Qualifications :
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* PE License Preferred
* 5-10 years of experience.
* AutoCAD and Revit experience.
* Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Commitment to excellence and high standards.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a Permanent Resident Green Card
