Description Arcadis is searching for an Instrumentation & Controls Intern to join our growing team in Milwaukee, WI. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and supplement your education with a variety of projects in Instrumentation and Controls automation and technology. In this position you will provide I technical and system integration services for diverse clients and projects in the industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, with support from one of the best-qualified consulting firms in the country and a strong nationally recognized technical staff. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Provide consulting services to support a variety of projects for I planning, design, construction, and integration for industrial & municipal projects including water and wastewater treatment and conveyance facilities. Assist in developing technical & design criteria, process and instrumentation diagrams (P), control system configuration diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout and wiring diagrams, instrument selection and sizing, and interconnection diagrams. Assist in performing factory tests, site acceptance tests, field checkout & startup. Support senior electrical engineers with electrical power distribution design, including development of one-line diagrams, block diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, and control schematic. Support the establishment of design criteria, perform design calculations, develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications. Design work utilizing AutoCAD, specifically concerning electrical systems for Engineering Design and Construction projects. Ensure compliance with specifications. and Arcadis H Standards. Assist and increase involvement with cost estimating, code review, field investigation, report and memo writing, and other similar electrical engineering related tasks. Provide engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI's (request for information). Other duties as assigned. Desired Skills/ Attributes Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
