Professor of AccountingCarroll UniversityStart Date: August 2021Carroll University School of Business is seeking a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Business specializing in Accounting. The successful candidate will begin Fall 2021 and will teach courses in primary areas of Audit, Tax and Theory at the undergraduate level, and Managerial Accounting at the graduate level. Prior public accounting, tax accounting and business or industry experience is highly desired with a CPA professional designation. This candidate should have completed or will be completing their DBA or Ph.D. by June 2021. A proven ability to teach both in person and online is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. ABDs will be considered for tenure-track position, but a doctorate from an AACSB or equivalently accredited program within a specified time frame will be required for continuing employment. All Carroll University faculty are expected to participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness, to maintain currency in the discipline, and to grow as a faculty leader. In addition, this position will be involved in service to the school and university through representation and meaningful participation on committees, student recruitment activities, quality initiatives, assessment activities, and accreditation reviews. Rank and Salary: This position is full-time (9-month) faculty position. Candidates with a terminal degree will be considered for a tenure track position. Rank is open and is commensurate with prior experience. Candidates who have earned advanced rank at another institution will be considered for comparable appointment. Opportunities for summer teaching and project work are available, but not guaranteed. Salary is AACSB competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
