The Team

Forum Communications Printing-Fargo is part of the commercial print division of Forum Communications Company. Our specific location is a full service print and mail house. We specialize in postcards, direct mail, variable data printing, brochures, magazines, catalogs, glossy inserts, annual reports, books, fulfillment first class mail pick-up, publications, and much more. We are adding an Accounting Clerk to our Finance team. This role will be responsible for obtaining financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Compile and sort documents, such as invoices, statements, other inquiries from customers and suppliers.
  • Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and withdrawn from checking.
  • Daily billing of completed jobs from production. Detect actual versus estimated variances and assist in making corrections to the job costing system as needed. Scan & email, or mail invoices to customers.
  • File production tickets and maintain record retention as needed.
  • Reconcile and prepare A/P check runs.
  • Calculate Use Tax on purchases.
  • File A/P files and maintain record retention as needed.
  • Back up to front desk and multi line phone system.
  • Assist with related special projects and other duties, as required.

To excel in this role, 3-6 months related experience is required, in addition to experience with computers and financial systems, and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Organizational skills, multi-tasking, analytical thinking and problem solving is essential.
