Infinity High Purity Systems is seeking an experienced Orbital Welding Foreman to lead our field installation team.


As a Foreman in this position, you will be required to possess knowledge of the tools and equipment that are required to work in this position. The ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics as well as creating on-site tubing layout's and bend tables are required when applying for this position. A basic understating of gas types and purity levels for different types of gas systems is a must. You will be leading our field installation team, experience in training, leading a team, developing, and supporting a positive working environment is key.


Responsibilities:

The Candidate will be able to perform all of the following as well as train/lead other employees in the listed tasks.

  • Follow, and Update established procedures to set up and operate the orbital welding system.
  • Independently sets up and performs orbital welding operations on a wide variety of metal assemblies to assure compliance with company's manufacturing specifications.
  • Cut and prepare all tubing and fittings used in welding operation.
  • Perform cosmetic finishing on welded assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Work from blueprints and approved drawings.
  • Creates tubing layouts, bend tables, and support system layouts for job specific install requirements.
  • Inspect and perform proper interpretation of weld coupons.
  • Management of spare parts and support equipment for the welding systems and job materials.
  • Maintain clean work area on job sites and shop.
  • Documents methods and procedures for efficient setups for repeat projects and maintain a file of all work records.
  • Be proficient with the usage of Computers and software, Microsoft Office, knowledge of Solidworks CAD software a plus.
  • Participates and trains in our safety program and contributes to a safe clean work environment.
  • Performs job site setup and tear down, including loading and unloading job trailer.
  • Assists and trains subordinates by determining best methods to achieve desired results in a safe and timely manner.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass the required welding demonstration.
  • Must be able communicate written and verbal directions in English.
  • Must be able to create tubing layouts and shop drawings for installation of gas distribution tubing and equipment.
  • Must be able to perform math calculations to facilitate layout work.
  • Must be able to measure with different measurement tools to tolerances
  • Ability to perform all tasks with required manual dexterity.
  • Certification from a formal orbital weld training program or 3 years of experience are required, certification from an orbital weld training program is preferred with a ASME section IX certification.
  • Welding and Installation in a Power Plant or Semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Automated and Manual gas cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-75 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 6-hour periods a day.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, and maneuver in tight spaces for extended periods.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be able to operate and maneuver truck and trailer as needed.
