Tax Accountant

Accountemps in Madison is always seeking Tax Accountants for our clients located throughout the Greater Madison area! We are seeking individuals with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Typical duties and responsibilities for a Tax Accountant include:

??? Completing various corporate and individual tax returns, ranging from simple to complex

??? Assuring compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations

??? Conducting research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations

??? Providing assistance during tax audits

??? Assisting in the maintenance of tax records

??? Responding to notices from tax auditors

??? 2+ years of previous experience in tax preparation

??? Strong attention to detail

??? Ability to work closely with customers on a one-on-one basis
