POSITION Maintenance Technician JOB LOCATION Menomonie, Wisconsin STARTING DATE Immediately EMPLOYMENT TERM Temp to Hire EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 1st Shift (7am- 3: 30pm, Mon-Fri) STARTING PAY $20.00/per hour REQUIRED EDUCATION Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades preferred. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 2 years of previous Maintenance experience in an industrial setting preferred. Coordinates the installation, maintenance and repair work in all Vets Plus facilities. Regularly inspect sites, execute work as necessary, and maintain equipment. Responsibilities: Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all the equipment & area related maintenance in the production plant are carried out as per schedule, and as required. Responsible for timely completion of all assigned jobs & duties. Identify and complete the Preventative Maintenance work on all equipment in the facility. Responsible to troubleshoot breakdown of machine and if not able to do so, must inform Production In-Charge/Supervisor. Must ensure that the tools are used appropriately and in a safe manner, and work with Production In-Charge/Supervisor to replace the defective ones. Must have the knowledge of operating all equipment. Responsible for installation and set-up of all equipment purchased in the manufacturing as instructed by manager. Must ensure that all important and major equipment are maintained in safe & operational condition, as needed arrange for replacement. Develops, implements, and reviews equipment records. Provide equipment ID# to all equipment within the manufacturing facility. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices. Effective budgeting and performance management. Fantastic organizational and leadership skills. Great eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools. Great time management skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
