If you're looking to take your career into the Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt industry, there is a terrific full-time position available for an experienced Staff Accountant at Robert Half Finance. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Located in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.

Responsibilities

- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

- Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

- Take part in various department-wide initiatives

- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

- Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Job Requirements:
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized

- Journal entries experience

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Knowledgeable of ERP systems

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

- Recent and relevant accounting experience
