Business Architect Location Minneapolis, Minnesota Remote will be fine Overall 10+ years of experience as a BA Job Description This position supports the Truterra Insights Engine software platform. The BSA is expected to work with the business to develop and write requirements, maintain software documentation, lead discussions with the software developers, perform software UAT and regression testing, and investigate bugs and defects. The BSA will also work on ad hoc projects related to the Truterra platform such as outlier analysis and data collection. of Total Job (nothing under 10) Duty or Area of Responsibility 35 Business Analysis Works with the business (field team, subject matter experts) to obtain, write and refine feature requirement for the product (Insights Engine) Works with the product team development leads to create lsquouser stories, acceptance criteriarsquo Engages and coordinates with UIUX (user interface user experience) team to generate designs mock uprsquos as needed. Present final requirements to developers Supports the Lead BSA on the product team 25 Testing ndash Perform QA (quality assurance) of new features developed by the Development team Lead end-to-end testing efforts (regression testing) Organize and lead UAT (user testing) Lead demos of new features during UAT, write test scripts and share testing results 20 Product Support ndash Act as level 3 support for investigation of bugs and defects in the Truterra Insights Engine production environment. Log tickets into JIRA (ticketing tracking system) Manage progress of high priority tickets ndash with development team and business users 10 Documentation ndash Create, update and maintain software design documentation. Assist with other Truterra documentation needs such as release notes, training documents and other information guides as needed. 10 Misc. activities ndash Assist or lead ad hoc projects as part of the overall Truterra program. This may include data outlier analysis, environmental modeling strategy, and data certification efforts among others. Required ExperienceKnowledgeSkills (to be able to perform this job) Requires a bachelor's degree in business or MIS or a related area 5 - 7 years of experience in IT 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Sustainability Required Prior experience working on a consumer-facing web application Ability to manage and execute multiple competing priorities Prior experience in the working in an Agriculture technology setting (application, team, support) Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly with multiple business partners, both internal and external including offshore web developers Knowledge of Project Management and SDLC methodologies (WaterfallAgile) Ability to work outside normal working hours with offshore developers Preferred Experience with JIRA or other agile project tools Experience working with offshore developers in time zones that are 8+ hours different
