We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Smart team in bustling Madison, WI! The anticipated duration of this engagement is 12 months, with possible extensions. The Project Manager should be prepared to start by February 8th or before, and initially, this position will be a remote position due to COVID-19. Still, when the college opens back up, the consultant may be required to work on-site. This Project Manager will oversee two to three new projects for a large organization in Madison, WI. The projects include leading a digital access project, the inventoryequipment trackingtelemetry needs project, and a capabilities assessment project. We are looking for someone that has Experience managing projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies Top communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills These initiatives will require a Project Manager to operate independently, critically think, and provide leadership, quality assurance, alignment to visionmission, and follow-through on completion solutions. The ideal candidate can work effectively with demanding end-users, solicit must-have requirements, and formulate feasiblecost-effective solutions to meet the needs. Other Responsibilities Include Collaborate with stakeholders on assignments to define the scope and magnitude of desired initiatives Work with technical leads to understand technical specifications, impact on the existing environmentwork and perform Business Case development and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to guide decision-making Gather key, understandable requirements to meet project activities Secure appropriate resources and establish a feasible timeframe and schedule to complete the work Monitor, manage and maintain day-to-day project activities and resource plans in the Project Portfolio Management tool Follow existing or establish appropriate change control processes to ensure work goes from Development to Testing to Production Provide training or other support services to teams and project staff to assist them in effectively performing their duties, such as requirements collection, design session facilitation, testing, and more Communicate with appropriate parties on project needs, progress, issues, risks, and outcomes Successfully manage projects to completion Provide Change Management support services to ensure adoption is at its utmost (communication, documentation, and training to end-users) As needed, provide Business Analysis and Quality Assurance support A Successful Candidate Looks Like 5 to 10+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Project Experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Collaboration, team building, and adept communicationsfollow-through skills Masterly understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid Project Management methodologies Ability to manage resources in a matrix environment Experience in managing a variety of information technology projects Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Well-developed skills with Microsoft Visio, MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Experience operating within a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks Track record of successful project delivery High-quality conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills Capacity to work independently or as a member of a team on complex tasks Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both technical and functional audiences Desired - candidates with documented successful experience working remotely Snapshot of Desired Proactive Behaviors Displays energy and initiative in solving problems Follows all possible avenues to get the job done Adaptable - undertakes a variety of tasks willingly Ability to switch from complex to routine tasks when required Work effectively with a variety of personalities and work styles Quality - demonstrates appropriate quality and thoroughness in the work Decisiveness - ability to make decisions quickly when faced with multiple options Ability to influence others to a decided course of action Integrity - act with personal integrity at all times Professional - work within your team's processes Confront problems, propose solutions, and take ownership through to resolution or ensure a clear hand-off Have a positive can-do approach to work Why You Should Apply?
