Payroll /HRMS Administrator 

Otter Tail Corporation (OTC) is hiring a full-time Payroll/HRMS Technician to join our Human Resources  team in Fargo, ND. The Payroll/HRMS Technician processes multi-state payrolls, including payroll audits,  reconciliation, and tax reporting and supports the administration of the company’s HRMS system.  

The individual in this role must have a commitment to customer service, generating accurate and  thorough work product, and confidentiality. Ideal candidates will be self-directed with problem-solving,  communication and time management skills. The ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and  think critically is a must. 

Qualifications: 
• Associates Degree in human resources, business management, accounting or a related field. • 1-2 years of direct payroll processing experience, including tax administration. • Knowledge of payroll best practices. 
• Skill in evaluating and analyzing technical payroll-related activities. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written). • Self accountability in meeting deadlines, prioritizing work tasks, and accuracy. • Ability to use data to create efficient work processes. 
• Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment. • Experience with Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at an intermediate  level.
