Jarbo is currently seeking an experienced Civil or Structural PE that enjoys autonomy and getting hands-on to solve complex problems both alone and as part of a team with experts of a variety of other disciplines. In this role, you will be using your technical knowledge to help assess the cause of failures in design, construction, safety, wind damage, foundation failure, hydrology, and flooding assessments. You will perform timely accurate analysis, prepare reports, and present your findings to clients and other parties. You will need to be detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects and have excellent communication skills to succeed in this role.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any Civil Discipline
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or Structural Engineering (S.E.) License preferred
  • Experience with Design, Structures, Transportation, Geotechnical, Water Wastewater, Commercial Buildings, Resident Engineer, Estimation, Residential Construction, Knowledge of a variety of Construction Documents, Construction Administration, and Construction Management.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and building component assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and other technical references.
  • Must be hands-on in conducting field investigations.
  • Requires prompt responsiveness to peers and clients.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to crawl and climb ladders.
  • Occasionally work will require unusual hours.
  • Projects locations vary and will require out of town travel. (mostly day trips)
  • General Contractors License is a plus
  • Drone Pilot with the ability to be licensed is a plus.
  • est and unbiased analysis and consultation on various property failures
  • Conduct engineering investigations and planning work which have a well-defined scope
  • Communicate regularly and directly with a variety of clients
  • Serve as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions
  • Produce detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of losses and damages
  • Establish trusted working relationship with regional clients and interact socially at mixed engagements with clients
  • Serve as a safety expert as relates to laboratory electrical and other activities
  • Ordering supplies and performing physical inventory of supplies
  • Pursue additional training and mentoring opportunities, in addition to added education and/or certifications
  • Documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation
