Project Manager

The White Earth Reservation Housing Authority is seeking qualified candidates to oversee the planning and implementation of a special grant project administered by WEHA.

Job Tasks:

• Oversees all bidding and procurement activities for the grant under the Executive Director or his/hers designee’s supervision
• Creates, distributes and receives reports and budgeting information regarding supervised projects
• Assists in all aspects of the supervised projects to ensure program objectives and requirements are met
• Communicates with internal and external sources to ensure the program and organization is represented in a professional manner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Ability to follow and apply all policies and procedures of the White Earth Housing Authority
• Knowledge of the White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history and lifestyle
• Knowledge of leadership, management techniques and in the coordination of people and resources
• Knowledge of materials procurement and experience in contract bidding
• Ability to make purchases in accordance with the WEHA procurement policy
• Skilled in following prepared Scope of Work for each unit
• Creating and maintaining records and files that must contain all necessary information of all aspects of each unit
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group
• Skilled with working with contractors and vendors
• Experience in conflict resolution
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

• Previous experience related to management of personnel in the construction trade
• Previous work related experience in scope of work completion, budgeting, bidding contracts and material procurement
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history for traveling throughout the reservation
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
