Job Title: Finance Manager
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
The Finance Manager reports to the President and is a critical member of the SIS leadership team. In alignment with the mission and vision of the organization, he/she is responsible for overall financial operations including financial reporting, asset management, accounting functions and cash management. In collaboration with the President helps direct, coordinate and report on the operations of the organization including monitoring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of all operations of the organization.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and meet the financial operations needs including coordination and preparation of financial information in alignment with SIS and the Board of Directors.
  2. Oversee financial reporting including variance analysis.
  3. Facilitate identification and implementation of improvement opportunities to enhance profitability. Take an active role to facilitate achieving expected financial results within specified timeframes.
  4. In collaboration with the President, ensure that the quarterly funds distribution from SIS are distributed promptly and at the direction of the Board of Directors. Ensure that all new shareholders are provided with the needed information at the time of their stock purchase and all sale and purchases of stock transactions are understood and performed in accordance with the SIS stock agreement. Maintain stock certificates book and log of outstanding shares. Calculate stock price on an annual basis and as needed. Provide quarterly reports to shareholders on the operations of SIS and provide annual reports summarizing the financial performance.
  5. In collaboration with the President, maintain banking account and ensure that all deposits are promptly deposited and recorded. Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
  6. Responsible for general accounting including general ledger, accounts payable and receivables, billings, payroll, cash management and fixed assets. Seek out and implement systems and software packages that improves automation and efficiencies.
  7. Develop and implement policies & procedures that improve work flow processes and provides more consistency, standardization and enhances internal controls.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization to promote a continuous improvement environment.
  9. Proactively communicate with leadership on initiatives and collaborates to remove barriers to success.
  10. Coordinate annual financial audits and other audit/tax related activities.
  11. Facilitate strategic and financial planning process including development of annual operating and capital budgets.
  12. Provides financial discipline to evaluate strategic business opportunities.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Characteristics:
  1. Minimum of a bachelor s degree in business or financial accounting and a level of experience that demonstrates a track record of organizational leadership.
  2. 5+ years of progressively responsible financial experience.
  3. Excellent analytical and problems solving skills including being able to execute complex financial models and forecasts.
  4. Strong work ethic, with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication ensuring the organization will be viewed by owners, employees and clients as an exceptional corporate citizen.
  5. Keen ability to think and act strategically with the ability to plan for the long-term while balancing the short and long-range needs of the organization.
  6. The ability to focus on results and prioritize projects while dealing with a wide range of responsibilities such as planning, delegating, program development, task facilitation and day to day problem solving.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface with a wide range of stakeholders including the ability to convey technical information understandably.
  8. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, spreadsheet analysis, word processing and an understanding of how to develop, implement and maintain accurate record keeping and reporting systems is essential.
  9. High level of strategic thinking and planning. Ability to envision and convey the organizations strategic future to the staff, board, and key healthcare leaders.
