Stratasys is currently seeking a Direct Commodity Manager to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible to direct and guide the activities for the direct sourcing team by aligning short and longer-term commodity strategies and ensuring alignment with the global team and assigned business unties. You will partner with product development and business unit engineering teams to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing. You will develop systems and procedures for selecting and monitoring vendors and suppliers to ensure their ability to meet engineering and quality standards and that parts and materials received meet requirements in a cost-effective manner. You will also establish requirements for suppliers to achieve process and quality standards for GMPs. A couple of other duties will include:

Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provide feedback in assessment of their operation
Qualify suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost-effectiveness
Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicate and resolve supplier-related problems as they occur
Develop and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices and quality standards are met
Management of labor planning, budget, and capacity requirements
Foster good communication and teamwork within the plant environment to meet and execute on schedule

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

4-Year Degree in Business, Engineering or other related field or equivalent years of experience
8+ years experience in sourcing, purchasing or planning experience at a manufacturing company in an ERP environment
Advanced Excel skills
5+ years experience of management responsibilities leading a sourcing team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Oracle experience
Working knowledge of Project Management Software
Domestic and global expertise of assigned commodities with experience in electronics and materials

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%
