Purchasing - Diverse Candidates Encouraged

A south-central Wisconsin manufacturer in Madison area has a position opening for a purchasing professional. This position is responsible forthe purchase of strategic operating and support commodities with some price negotiating requirements included. Specifically, the position evaluates purchase requests and pricing, including payment, freight, and delivery terms and continuously monitors our supplier base for on-time delivery and their continuous improvement and development. These duties include administrative tasks including supply ordering to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations, while maintaining proactive communication with the position s internal customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 - 10 years experience in purchasing
• Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing protocols
• Experience in purchasing administration of supplies and ordering systems.
• Proven excellent communication and organizational skills
• Computer skills in MS Office and ERP applications

Other Qualifications Considered a Plus:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Post HS education
