QUALIFICATIONS:

Required/Essential:
1. A minimum of a Master's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems or an equivalent program from an accredited institution with substantive coursework in Operations Management, or be ABD from an AACSB-International accredited institution or a major national university.
2. If the applicant has a Master's degree and is not ABD or Ph.D., the applicant must have relevant work experience that demonstrates active involvement in Operations/Analytics since the time of the Master's degree completion.
3. Must meet conditions for one of the four 2013 AACSB faculty qualifications [Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), Scholarly Practitioner (SP), or Instructional Practitioner (IP)] as defined by LSBE (see ).
4. Applicants must have experience in either training/public speaking within an organized setting or teaching at least one university-level course as instructor or teaching assistant.
5. Demonstrated evidence of effective written communication skills needed for successful teaching.

Preferred:
1. Ph.D. in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management from an AACSB-International accredited institution.
2. Demonstrated ability to teach Introductory Production and Operations Management and MIS/Analytics elective courses at the undergraduate level to a diverse group of students.
3. Related practitioner experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Analytics in Operations Management areas consistent with the courses to be taught.
4. Successful collegiate teaching in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management, including courses in MIS and Business Analytics.
5. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching methods in a classroom with a diverse group of students.

About the Job
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, term faculty position in the area of Production and Operations Management (POM) at the Instructor/Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2021. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for teaching required and elective courses. The school's current teaching needs are in the area of POM and related areas. Currently, the teaching load is seven sections (21 credits) per academic year. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach courses in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business Analytics (BA). Responsibilities also include advising undergraduate students, working with student organizations and engaging in service activities with colleagues, the department, School, campus, community and professional organizations.
