Immediate opening for a highly motivated accountant with 3-5 years of audit experience to perform audits and set annual Medicaid rates for Wisconsin skilled nursing facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This position will perform audits of facility cost reports and develop annual facility based rates for the Nursing Home Policy and Rate Setting Section (NHPRS) in the Bureau of Rate Setting within the Wisconsin Division of Medicaid Services. The right candidate will have strong spreadsheet, analytical, written and oral communication skills to conduct independent review, interact with external stakeholders, and develop and communicate results consistent with established protocol and under direction of the NHPRS management. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
??? 4-year minimum degree in accounting or related field with 3-5 years relevant experience performing audits in compliance with GAAS and GAAP standards
??? Demonstrated ability to design and implement audit procedures to analyze and interpret expenses in compliance with established methods and guidelines
??? Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency, and integrity across engagements
??? Strong written and verbal communication skills achieving a high standard of professionalism
??? Fluency in excel software and word processing. General accounting software and data query experience preferred and ability to learn new systems as required
??? Ability to work independently and in a team environment
??? Ability to meet established deadlines
???Previous audit experience preferred
