Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

In this role, you will manage and prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for healthcare facilities and perform other healthcare reimbursement projects as assigned. You will also assist in developing the local market and training staff.

A typical day as a Healthcare Cost Reporting Manager might include the following:
  • Supervising cost report preparation and other reimbursement engagements to achieve objectives including staff development, client needs and engagement profitability.
  • Outlining engagement objectives and issuing findings and recommendations in a variety of client situations.
  • Managing client relationships with integrity by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
  • Participating in the areas of business and staff development for the local office.
  • Working with leadership on developing new services and strategies for the national reimbursement practice and the local office.

 

Who You Are
  • You have a minimum of seven years of Medicare Cost Reporting/Healthcare Reimbursement experience.
  • You have extensive knowledge of the health care industry in the area of third-party reimbursement and payment methodologies.
  • You are able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are exposed to multiple projects and enjoy meeting deadlines.
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office and have knowledge of pivot tables and Excel formulas.
  • You can interact with internal and external clients, delivering consistent results.
  • You possess a Bachelor's degre,  preferably in Accounting.
  • CPA Preferred but not required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
