Boutique CPA firm located in Rapid City, serving clients across the United States. We are looking for a talented tax practice team member! Character comes first - our firm emphasizes integrity and transparency, which is a must for any candidate.

Our practice is heavily tax-orientated and is known for technical expertise in diverse and complex matters, including business structuring, mergers & acquisitions, international tax, state & local tax, and estate planning.

This position will be a salaried full-time position. We are open to relocations for the right fit - the Black Hills of South Dakota are an incredible place to live!

Job Details

Review income tax returns and supporting records and workpapers
Perform and review technical tax research, including review and evaluation of IRC, Treasury Regulations, IRS guidance, judicial history, and secondary authority
Technical tax writing, including preparing memorandum and summarizing tax positions
Manage client relationships and mentor staff
Project management, including managing tasks for complex structuring projects and ensuring a diversity of deadlines are met

Previous experience in public accounting required, with 5+ years of experience targeted
Bachelor's Degree required, CPA a strong plus, MST or LLM in Taxation a strong plus
Familiar with Microsoft office, especially Excel
Self-motivated and flexible
Good at prioritizing and juggling a multitude of diverse tasks
Detail and deadline-oriented
Good written and oral communication skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
