Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of their accounting team. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the south metro area and will be a long-term temporary position. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Provide support to internal business partners
• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
• Execute additional tasks as needed
• Implement full-cycle A/P
• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Comprehensive knowledge of numeric data entry
• Coding Invoices experience
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
• High attention to detail
