Full Charge Bookkeeper

You will succeed in this Full Charge Bookkeeper position if you have a background in accounting and you're interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. The long-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

- Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

- Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

- Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

- Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

- Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner

- Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents

- Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions

- Proficiency in month end closings

- Well-founded grasp of bank reconciliations

- QuickBooks experience

- Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)

- Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- Quickbooks Premier experience required

- Quality experience with billing

- Wide ranging experience with Billing Collection

- General familiarity with cash reconciliations

- Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

- Practical knowledge of Expense Reconciliation

- Account reconciliation experience preferred

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

- 3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field

- Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree

- Background in payroll preferred

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting

- High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

- Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
