The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices as well as online and digital channels.
Senior individual contributor responsible for planning and execution of strategic activities and projects that directly support the implementation and optimization of efforts to increase purchase business within low-to-moderate income borrowers and communities and minority segments across the full economic spectrum. Ensures adherence to compliance regulations and policies. Responsibilities include researching, identifying internal strategic partners or products to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage in marketplace and meet the unique needs of defined customer/business segments; developing external relationships with real estate agents, realtor trade associations, non-profits, and community and civic organizations; executing sales and/or marketing strategies; establishing and enhancing relationships with various WF sales and functional groups to develop and execute programs to achieve market penetration; sales goals, metrics and tracking; developing and executing appropriate communications, processes and sales training; and maintaining/developing knowledge of program and delivery channels. May mentor lower level staff.
The successful candidate must be a strong, decisive and results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. The candidate must possess a broad experience in business analytics and performance management. He/she must possess mortgage acumen with very strong sales skills. This candidate must be strategic, and understand how to align business capabilities to meet business objectives. He/she must have the courage of their convictions to be 'the owner of the idea' and be willing to assume accountability to optimize market opportunities.
Base salary range for this role is:
MN - Minneapolis Min: $66,500 Mid: $93,600 Max: $120,700
CO - Denver Min: $66,500 Mid: $93,600 Max: $120,700
WI - Milwaukee Min: $66,500 Mid: $93,600 Max: $120,700
IL - Chicago Min: $73,100 Mid: $103,000 Max: $132,900
MI - Detroit Min: $73,100 Mid: $103,000 Max: $132,900
May be considered for a discretionary bonus

Important Note: Preferred location for this position is 2701 Wells Fargo Way, Minneapolis, MN. Other locations may be considered within Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; or Milwaukee, WI. Candidates will have the option to work from home.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, marketing, or financial consulting

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years mortgage experience preferred with Retail Sales
  • Demonstrates deep and broad Relationship Management, Sales and/or Fulfillment business acumen
  • Strong product and program knowledge
  • Proven project management, process development, consulting and problem resolution capabilities
  • Able to lead change and influence business direction in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment, establish priorities and achieve results

Job Expectations
  • Ability to provide and work from a home office
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
