The Optum Field Connect Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for gathering/defining business, operational and analytical requirements that support the strategic vision of the Field Connect platform. This role will require a candidate able to develop a deep understanding of Optum risk and quality programs. This includes data analytics, operational end to end processes, process management, supporting platforms and tools and stakeholder roles and needs. The Sr. Business Analyst will have diverse responsibilities supporting the business transformation and strategic product management teams to ideate and develop necessary platform capabilities, business rules, data integration strategies, field team transformation planning and all responsibilities that contribute to an accurate, congruent and reliable experience across the platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather and prioritize business requirements, design and deliver solutions in partnership with product and technical teams
  • Interact with a variety of cross functional areas such as Business, Technology, Product, Operations, Program/Project Management, Quality Assurance, and wide variety of upstream application SMEs to define data needs and dependencies
  • Create and manage a process to quickly and accurately assess the impact of data changes and issues across the system
  • Establish and maintain a library of business rules, data flows and integration details that can be used as a source of truth by technical and business teams
  • Creating functional diagrams representative of the data flows necessary for our program delivery
  • Partner with data and integration delivery teams to ensure high quality, reliable and automated solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Product Manager, or Operations Lead in a large, complex US organization
  • 8+ years in healthcare - preferably payer or risk and quality space
  • 8+ years of experience communicating with senior level business leaders and stakeholders
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Clinical experience
  • Risk and Quality experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $ 94,500 to $ 171,700.
