DescriptionAre you interested in developing tests for current and future RF systems? Are you passionate about applying your analytical and technical skills to evolving RF systems? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL. The Sensor and Communication Integration and Test Group is seeking a highly motivated test engineer to evaluate sophisticated RF systems. You will help us develop test plans and support test events. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of engineers, scientists and technicians working collaboratively to advance the state of the art in RF systems. Be part of a team of talented engineers tackling national security challenges!As a Test Engineer you will... Assess and evaluate sensor system requirements, documentation, and designs, andtest execution, modeling, scenario planning, and safety. Develop test plans and objectives for field testing, Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) testing, experiments and demonstrations, and modeling and simulation to capture performance assessment and verification of sensor systems. Coordinate modeling and simulation activities to assess system configurations, performance and capabilities. Develop risk assessments within the framework of current and projected threat environments. Analyze weapon system performance in challenging scenarios to inform future sensor system design and improvements. Document analysis/engineering results, prepare reports, and establish material requirements for sponsors. This would include organizing the study team, ensuring quality of technical products and developing/delivering associated technical briefs. QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physical Science or related field Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience related to test and evaluation of systems Have strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and ability to interact with sponsor representatives Are able and willing to travel to present work to customers, provide technical advice during new system development/system modifications, and support laboratory/field testing Are willing and able to [special working conditions like travel, schedule, lifting/walking] Hold an active an Interim Secret level clearance and ultimately a Secret level security clearance and can . Are able to obtain a secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...
