This URS Director Client Services position has overall accountability for assigned Retiree Solutions clients and the performance of assigned Client Service Managers. The responsibilities of this position are to develop strategic relationships with assigned clients and execute on exceeding client's needs and expectations that will drive revenue expansion and client retention within the assigned client portfolio. This position is also accountable for providing direct management and leadership to assigned Client Service Managers to ensure client needs are exceeded holistically.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Position reports to Director of Account Management, providing regular input on all account activity and status of the book of business assigned to that Director, a subset of the entire book
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Service team consisting of 4-16 Client Service Managers and support staff for the subset of the book of business
- One on ones - Annual MAP reviews - Goal Planning - Vital Signs - Issue Resolutions - Employee Engagement - Blue Chip Alignment
  • Assist Director of Account Management with driving strategic direction and change within Public Sector
  • Representation of PSL service team within workgroups, committees, and meetings with our matrix partners
  • Maintain Senior Management Relationships with Operational Partners, Matrix Partners, and Leadership Team in UnitedHealth Care and selected National Accounts
  • Provide conflict resolution support and guidance to team members as needed
  • Active member and participant of the Sales Management Team
  • Assist in development and execution of best practices and procedures
  • Understanding of Labor and Public sector growth strategies
  • Lead Project management and keep informed and educated in product offerings
  • Travel requirements 25% - 50%

  • 5+ years of experience in a large, complex, and successful insurance organization with responsibilities of meeting and exceeding customer expectations associated with insurance products
  • 3+ years of strategic focus, analytical, internal control, and project - management skills
  • Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on sound marketing, operational and financial principles
  • Insurance license or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Advanced consultative selling and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions for complex organizations
  • Proven experience managing and influencing effectively in a large, matrixed environment
  • Well - developed planning capabilities and a track record in controlling costs, identifying customer needs and meeting deadlines
  • 25% national travel
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

  • Model and demand integrity and compliance
  • Excellent presentation skills with the expertise and sophistication needed to credibly represent the Company in the context of the company's values and quality commitments

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $70,000 to $140,000.
