Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift

SHIFT & SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY:

2nd shift, 3:00PM - 11:00PM, Tuesday - Saturday

2nd shift, 3:00PM - 11:00PM, Sunday - Thursday

Bell Laboratories is currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineering Technician to join the world leader in rodent control technology. This position will operate during third shift from 10:00PM - 8:00AM, Thursday - Sunday, giving every week a three-day break. An ideal candidate will be a well-rounded mechanic with experience in maintenance functions and have a functional understanding of: welding, hydraulics, plumbing, motors, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, electrical activities, and be a genuine team player. This senior maintenance position includes:

• Set-up, process and repair operations on plastic injection molders
• Inspect / troubleshoot complex manufacturing production equipment
• Advise supervisor / engineers of major mechanical issues and / or solutions
• Perform predictive maintenance on assigned machines
• Assist in the development of production aides
• Follow safety rules and procedures including: PPE, emergency procedures, and lockout / tag out
• Aid in the training of new personnel
• Maintain a neat, orderly, clean department and work environment
  

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years previous maintenance and packaging equipment experience
• Mechanical and schematic reading ability
• Electrical, plumbing, welding and machine repair experience
• Basic math and basic computer skills
• Operation of hand and power tools, welding equipment, forklift, electrical test devices, computer and crane
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently/100 pounds occasionally
