Microbiologist

Kelly is working with a leading organization in South Dakota looking to add an entry level Microbiologist to the team.**Title:** Microbiologist**Type:** Contract (potential to convert)**Job Duties & Responsibilities:**+ Sample preparation and microbiological analyses using aseptic technique+ Prepare test solution and reagents+ Proper management of hazardous and biohazard waste+ Perform serial dilutions and enumerate target microorganisms according to SOP+ Detection of pathogens that can cause foodborne illness using DNA and protein methods+ Prepare and sterilize culture media+ Extraction of desired components from samples using chemical procedures such as distillation, solvent extraction, and acid digestion+ Analysis of chemical composition using lab equipment+ Maintenance and verification of lab equipment+ Document and record accurate data using LIMS+ Other projects as assigned**Required Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's Degree in Scientific Discipline+ Ability to work independently and with a team+ Able to work at least 1 weekend day every week+ Experience with MS Office Suite and PC+ Able to lift 25lbs or more**Next Steps:** Apply today for immediate consideration!**Why Kelly** **??** **?**Kelly??
