POSITION SUMMARY: The Public Relations Intern for Puerto Rico exists to build BTM brand awareness and drive recruitment volumes that ultimately further our mission to save more lives through cellular therapy. This position will assist and support development and execution of local PR media strategies towards increasing brand visibility, public awareness, and education to the Puerto Rico community. This position will be dedicated to local public relations for Puerto Rico and will leverage knowledge of the local cultural, community and processes within the PR management field to target our recruitment audience of 18-44 years old. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Function A: Position Be The Match Puerto Rico within the Puerto Rico community and create public awareness about the need and our mission. Actively prospect corporate and non-profit organizations to identify partnership opportunities for joint campaigns and to host live drives. Identify and contact local influencers we could work with to amplify our mission within their follower's base. Function B : Work on a media plan, both organic and paid, to increase Be The Match Puerto Rico's media coverage. Evaluate merchandising needs and coordinate vendors accordingly. Create monthly update reports on past, ongoing and future marketing activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Knowledge in public relations, public media, corporate and non-profit organizations dynamics. Social Media Ability to: Ability to engage a crowd and naturally outgoing personality. Natural leadership and organizational skills. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Self-starter and results-oriented. Strong team player but also possesses ability to work independently. Cooperative, mature, and nonjudgmental attitude. Ability to gather feedback and provide innovative insight. Ability to demonstrate understanding of Be The Match key concepts. Education and/or Experience: Must be an active student enrolled with an institution of higher learning credited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and Consejo de Educacin de Puerto Rico (CEPR). 2 years or more of undergraduate studies or graduate studies in Public Relations and/or Communications. Minimum of 28 credit hours of undergraduate studies competed with active student status in college. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration) Previous experience in the public relations area will be considered, but not required. Previous experience in internship programs/work.
