The Financial Specialist reports to the Executive Director/Deputy Director and is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the financial records of Senior Connections. The Financial Specialist will maintain accurate reporting and processing of payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable on a day to day basis, as well as process required monthly, quarterly and annual Federal and State reports.
Education/Experience
Previous experience in an accounting or finance field.
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on accounting or finance preferred.
Previous experience with non-profits would be helpful.
Skills:
Ability to work with computers and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
Ability to communicate financial information to appropriate parties.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret invoices, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, payroll, and other appropriate financial documents.
Ability to maintain accurate reporting and processing of payroll, accounts payable/receivable.
Ability to work within deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage monthly income, expenditures, and compliance for Federal, State, Local & Program Income monies with the assistance of the Executive/Deputy Director.
Produce timely Monthly Bank Reconciliation reports for Finance & Board meetings along with Balance Sheets (costs compared with income), Profit & Loss Reports and ALL financial reports for Federal, State and Program Income per account and grant program.
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on a timely basis.
Process & manage payroll, maintain accurate records as well as process quarterly reporting for Federal, State and Unemployment Taxes and Multiple Worksites.
Process W-2's and related reporting.
Prepare and work closely with the Executive Director and the Auditors on the Annual Audit of our Financial Records.
Position is full time (Mon-Fri 8-4:30), salary based on experience ($17-$20/hr), generous time off, potential healthcare stipend and retirement contribution.
