Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract position lasting through 12/31/2021, working with a major insurance client in the Milwaukee, WI area.

This person will join a team of two that supports the operations of the Client Experience Engineering division.
Description:

• The Project Manager in this role will lead the execution of the financial and budget management activities related to a large, complex engineering organization by partnering with our engineering managers, finance, and HR to ensure we are following approved budget practices, providing accurate reporting, and meeting the budget requirements for the annual budget year.
• This person will assist managers in understanding their staffing needs in order to move through the hiring approval process and track financials accurately in our financial management systems.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• The person in this role will begin by focusing on the day-to-day ownership of the workforce/financial mgmt. processes for CX Engineering. We have three budget codes which need to be kept updated as well as a roll-up/summary of all three at the division level as it relates to workforce, budget, actuals and forecasts.
• This person will partner with our engineering managers and directors to understand future needs and perform the existing approval process steps so our teams can begin the interviewing process.
• In addition to managing the finances related to labor charges, this person will manage the non-labor purchases and ensure charges match existing contracts.
• This person will also partner with our finance and HR contacts to ensure that our forecasts are in alignment with what is in EMS (our financial mgmt. system).
• He/she will also provide visibility into our current/future state of the budget through various reporting formats.
• Once established for CXE, in the future, this person will work with other budget managers across the department to streamline current practices/processes creating standards, communicating, and automating the manual steps where possible.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
??? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
??? A minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
??? A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in technology and/or business functions
??? Experience with project management, agile delivery methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle)
??? Financial management expertise and usage of Excel and other tools to visualize budget, actuals, forecasts
??? Familiarity with HR tools
??? Excellent communication skills
??? Detail-oriented
??? Self-starter, initiative

Responsibilities:

• Manage all the day to day activities of a project
• Responsible for producing project management deliverables
• Control project scope and facilitate change management process
• Lead and mentor staff in project management techniques
• Responsible for identifying, managing and escalating issues and risks and developing risk mitigation strategies
• Validate estimates, risks, assumptions, constraints and interdependencies for viable solution options
