Job Title: R&D Engineer

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Duration: 8+ months contract with possibility of extension

Description:

Years Experience: plus 3+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area Skills: Prior engineering experience in R&D preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Duties: This position is Non Exempt. Responsibilities include: 1. Provides R&D support for market-released transseptal needle. 2. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and product functionality with regards to device leak resistance. 3. Develops solutions to improve product function and manufacturability with regards to device leak resistance. 4. Develop and/or possess knowledge of machining techniques, and valves per ISO 80369 5. Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities. 6. Write and submit Engineering Change orders. 7. Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of development. 8. Reviews or coordinates vendor activities to support development Working on root case analysis ISO 80369 or 594 experience is preferred Mechanical Valve experience Hands on testing and test method skills Working with R&D to solve a need leak issue Experience with lure and value leak evaluation Candidate needs to have worked in R&D or Manufacturing - no QE, Design assurance 3+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area BS engineering - mechanical, manufacturing or biomedical Candidate will be working full National search ok
