Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the United States' leading providers of financial and investment services. Responsible for very complex partner assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analysis and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry. Consults and performs very complex analyses/analysis design involving data mining from multiple sources, financial, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc. Analytics involved generally span multiple functional areas/business lines/data sources. Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities for participating in and/or leading management information capabilities development work; interpreting and presenting results of analyses and recommendations to senior management. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may be involved directly or indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. Leads project/virtual teams & mentors lower level staff.

As a member of the Wealth and Investment Management Risk Data Initiatives and Reporting team in WIM Analytics, this position is primarily that of a business analyst responsible for the analysis, business requirements, design and project administration of business intelligence and data management activities. This position will be the liaison between various WIM Risk and Compliance business teams and the technical development staff and must be able to interpret, source, manage and document project requests of varying size and complexity. The individual must have the ability to understand the complexities of the WIM business and associated data domains and be able to employ technical solutions that enable business goals.



Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Knowledge and understanding of data warehouse or data mart concepts
  • Experience creating dashboards and reporting formats
  • Experience with synthesizing data from multiple sources and presenting it in appropriate formats
  • 3+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • 2+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with iterative development approach
  • Experience writing data wrangling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  • 3+ years hands on experience with SQL Server 2014 or higher


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
