Banking, Lending, & Trust is a center of excellence that brings teams and functions currently found across WIM's consumer businesses under a common, WIM-level organization. The group is focused on transforming from channel-based to client-focused solutions and delivery in an effort to reduce operational risk, improve efficiency, increase consistency/coordination, and bring focus on product management / development to deliver innovative growth and improve the client experience. Additionally, the new group will deliver a WIM-level culture of product management excellence by creating a culture of innovation, product excellence, client service and risk mitigation.

The Trust Asset Manager (SAFE) 4 position receives, establishes and administers large and complex Trust loan asset portfolios which may include: unsecured loans/contracts, real estate secured loans or contracts, 'other' (i.e. car, stock, UCC-1, etc.) secured loans. Confers with customers regarding establishment, administration and operation of trust loan asset. Functions include: managing activities related to customer service ensuring timely and accurate set-up, maintenance, and removal of loan assets, lien perfections, insurance, payoffs; handling sensitive and problem loans, analyzing and recommending work-out solutions, coordinate foreclosures or legal proceedings processes; maintaining appropriate records/documents; complete Reg 9 review of assets in portfolio. Review fiduciary governing instruments. Ensure compliance with government regulations and bank policies. Provide training and guidance to associate and other Asset Managers. May act on behalf of department manager in his/her absence. May develop new business through servicing clients and partnering with Trust specialists.

Will work directly with Trust Officers and Trust Clients to create, enhance, and expand their WMG Relationships. Receives, establishes and administers large and most complex trust asset portfolios which may include real estate, oil, gas or mineral, loans or closely held entities. Confers with customers, professionals and vendors regarding establishment, administration and operation of trust assets.

This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relationship management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or higher
  • Lending experience
  • Real estate lending experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset based lending or commercial lending
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking: regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
  • Strong analytical skills



Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.
  • This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) web site ( ) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position.



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $68,200 Mid: $96,000
CA-Westlake Village: Min: $75,000 Mid: $105,600
