Activities Assistant - Care Center

Description

Lakewood Health System is seeking a Full-time Activities Assistant for their Care Center.

This individual will work directly with our activities team in enriching and enhancing the day to day life of our residents. The Activity Assistant will assist in planning, organizing and carrying out a diversified and purposeful program of activities for the residents at our Care Center.

They are also responsible to recording and charting to meet Department of Health requirements.

This is a Full-time position working 32 hours per week with a varying schedule from 10 AM to 6 PM, will work some weekends on a rotation with others.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists staff in daily workload management including scheduling and leading activities.
• Documentation of patient progress
• Creates and provides a diversified activities program
• Assists with documentation of activity assessments
• Must have the ability to multi-task and be able to handle various situations as they arise.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma/GED

2. Excellent Customer Service Skills

3. Willing to work some weekends and evenings

4. Computer knowledge

5. Valid driver's license

6. Ideally this person would be CRA certified, but is not required

7. Experience preferred in Memory Care/Alzheimer's care
