Job Title: Facilities/Grounds Maintenance

Reports To: Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining credit union facilities and grounds at all locations.

The hiring range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

• This position will require a valid driver's license
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, snow blowers and general hand tools
• Must possess strong communication skills
• Takes responsibility for own actions
• Treats people with respect
• Maintains confidentiality
• Completes work in a timely manner
• Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
• Observes safety and security procedures

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-time employment - approximately 10 hours per week.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Available to work a variety of hours to meet the needs of the credit union.
• Additional hours as necessary to meet deadlines or accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move around, walk, or stand for extended periods of time, use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Bend or twist their body or reach out. Often repeat the same movements. Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl. Are sometimes in high places such as roofs or on ladders. Work with contaminants often such as oils, solvents, and paints. Work in conditions of bright or inadequate lightly and enter cramped workplaces that require getting into awkward positions. See differences between colors, shades, and brightness. Understand the speech of another person. Speak clearly so listeners can understand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations. Position can be stressful due to meeting deadlines and attention to detail. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Environment:
Work is performed both indoor and outdoor environment, therefore can be exposed to hot or cold temperatures. Often wear protective attire, such as gloves or sturdy boots. Work in hazardous situations or with hazardous equipment. Injuries are possible from electrical shocks, cuts, or falls. Are often exposed to machine sounds and noises that are distracting and uncomfortable. The work characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Job Requirements:

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  
  • Monitoring and maintaining drive-up areas and branch entrances/exits
  • Minor repair of equipment such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing
  • Regularly treat weeds for weed control, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs, and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary
  • Maintain and repair building fixtures as needed
  • Replace drive-up banners as needed
  • Deliver and pick up supplies as needed
  • Various other duties as assigned
