YOUR ROLE

  • The Applications Engineer will lead and support internal and external technical requests and projects as a member of the APC (Consumer Goods Adhesives) Technical Customer Service team.
  • Create and adapt test methods/plans based on specific customer needs and applications within the Packaging & Labeling market.
  • Prioritize and carry out testing in the lab based on incoming customer requests and other projects.
  • Organize and analyze lab results with internal databases and other digital tools. Interpret data to make product recommendations, develop solutions, or propose subsequent experimental steps.
  • Prepare clear laboratory reports for customer correspondence. Make presentations to internal work group or Packaging and Labeling department.
  • Run and ensure laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations.
  • Lead ongoing harmonization and administration of laboratory test methods.
  • Run and perform customer lab demonstrations using application equipment.


YOUR SKILLS

  • BS Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or other equivalent degree is required.
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in a lab environment is required.
  • Experience in the adhesives or packaging and labeling industry is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong analytical and mechanical skills
  • Aptitude and ability to operate various adhesive applications equipment
  • Demonstration of organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
