Supply Chain Analyst
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 am- 5:00 pm
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for coordinating and implementing supply chain engagements with Assigned Accounts Customers, whether bond, MRP Share, or VMI. The Supply Chain Analyst works with the customer, the Assigned Accounts team, Supply Chain and Business Development Managers sectors to offer the best solution for both the customer and Digi-Key, both from program start-up and ongoing growth.
Responsibilities
Must be able to...
- Perform all Supply Chain Associate tasks|responsibilities at 'mastery' level; demonstrating strong understanding of supply chain solution topics & processes at Digi-Key. The work itself may not change, but level of oversight decreases
- Coordinate customer/ sales/director requests or opportunities by analyzing customer history or quote opportunity and inventory position along with customer viability and credit
- Work with the sales team and SC Managers/Directors to implement the rollout of the appropriate supply chain program
- Drive Supply Chain Program performance by managing customer forecast imports , VMI programs, bond programs and associated reports for ongoing growth and performance
- Proactively work with customers and the DK team to increase program part counts and sales growth and remove nonperforming parts from programs
- Aware of external changes to business market as well as competitors, customers, supplier public business announcements (e.g. Quarterly Financial Statements|Investor Calls, Mergers & Acquisitions) and begin to understand the impact to your supply chain strategy

- Take on additional responsibilities from the Supply Chain Solutions leadership
- Participates on cross-functional working teams or tasks forces
- Participate in the creation of training & documentation of processes as well as the facilitation of training
- May test system updates and applications
- May travel - internationally and|or domestically - as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typically 3+ years of Digi-Key experience in Assigned Sales, Asset, Order Management, Supply Chain or other relevant work experience
- Demonstrate ability to compile, sort and analyze data leading to recommendations of strategic supply chain opportunities and deliver on said recommendations; understanding upstream and downstream impacts
- Demonstrate knowledge of purpose of role|department, understanding the impact of actions (short & long term) & and shifting in effort to align to department|corporate goals
- Strong knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
- Successful completion of the training provided (system 'know-how' & sales 'know-how')
- Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
- Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
- Must be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; analytical capacity, attention to detail, communication, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, professionalism, problem solving/analysis, project management, process improvement capacity, thoroughness, and time management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in business or technical field
- Completion of various DKU courses - Ex. Traveling for Digi-Key, How to Conduct Dinner with a Customer, Business Etiquette
