Quality Engineer
Basic requirements (required):
Bachelors Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering from an accredited institution
1-3 years in mechanical or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use Quality and statistical analysis tools to solve problems.
Primary Function:
Apply quality tools and theQuality Management System to improve the quality of products, meet quality goals and metrics, and to drive corrective and preventive actions to improve customer experience.
Responsible for using quality tools, statistical analysis, carrying out root cause analysis, process capability studies, measurement systems analysis, implementing preventive actions, creating control plans, developing inspection plans, conducting line side reviews and applying mistake-proofing methodologies.
Manage inspection and controls to ensure supplier provided material quality levels. Provide assistance and point of contact for customers and suppliers on problems and corrective actions. Establish and maintain proper supplier relations.
Provide support in customer problems as situations occur. Support product return failure analysis and corrective actions. Work with customers on approval of PPAPs, communicate the changes and work closely to address voice of the customer.
Conduct gage R&Rs.
