Automation Service Robotic Equipment Launch Technician

This employee-oriented, custom automation engineering design company is hiring a full time, permanent Automation Service Robotic Equipment Launch Technician. The company does a lot of machine building from scratch but is also making standard products that are sold around the world. The company promotes from within.

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should be as follows:

• Interpreting and understanding engineering drawings and documents
• Troubleshooting robotic and automation equipment
• Participating in building through debugging
• Ensuring customer timelines and requirements are met
• Estimating remaining time to project completion
• Communicating with customers and various coworkers as needed
• Participating in meetings
• Traveling for up to one week at a time
• Working in the shop when not travelling

Successful candidates should have the following background:

• Possess a technical degree
• One or more years of experience troubleshooting automated systems
• One or more years of PLC or robotics experience
• Two or more years of field service experience
• Possess leadership skills
• A well-rounded background as a technician
• A willingness to travel as much as 40% in very rare instances
