Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Accountemps. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will mainly focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area and will be a long-term temporary position.

Responsibilities

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Perform special projects as assigned

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

Job Requirements:
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Numeric data entry experience required

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
