The Electrical Design Engineer will support the vision and goals of Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) by producing original design solutions and recommendations on assigned projects. This position is also responsible for evaluating and testing to support product revisions .

To be successful in their first six to twelve months, the Electrical Design Engineer will have to:

• Assist in the Design and Development of a new Electric Fireplaces and other electronic components for HHT.
• Assist in the development of a production area and electronic test equipment to assemble and test new Electric fireplace offering.
• Continuous Improvement and growth of electric offerings of both internal and external supplied product.

Supporting objectives include:

• Assist in the electronic design and development of key components of the new electric fireplace.
• Assist manufacturing with designs of electronic test equipment for the new electric fireplace line.
• Work with product management and NPD on continuous improvement of existing electronics for HHT.

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to read and interpret highly technical or complex data, information, schematics and project drawings.
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project team members.
• Must work effectively as part of a team and be able to build relationships with others.
• Demonstrated success in designing and developing products.
• Ability to mentor others to enhance their skill sets.
• Ability to delegate tasks to indirect reports and monitor
• Ability to use hand and CNC fabrication equipment during the prototyping and testing phases of the design cycle.

Education and Experience

• 4-year degree in Engineering or related field and 4+ years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer
